From Star Trek to Doctor Who to The Orville,  science fiction  often incorporates black holes into story lines, in large part because there’s still so much we don’t know. But Alexander Vilenkin isn’t daunted at all by this vast and complex subject. The Leonard and Jane Holmes Bernstein Professor in Evolutionary Science in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Tufts, he has studied theoretical cosmology, including dark energy, cosmic strings, and the multiverse, for decades. If anyone can help unravel some of the mystery around black holes, it’s Black holes are among the most fascinating phenomena of outer space, and we’re learning more about them all the time. Just last week, a group of astronomers published a paper documenting a rare visible collision of black holes, which produced a flash of light that allowed scientists to see the event from Earth. Vilenkin recently gave Tufts Now a crash course to make these cosmic giants a bit more accessible. Here are three facts ab...

Black holes

What is black hole A black hole is a region of spacetime where gravity is so strong that nothing—no particles or even electromagnetic radiation such as light—can escape from it. black hole has a large gravity that can even pull a planet into itself. Once when a planet is pulled into a black hole there will be nothing called time and gravity inside the black hole or it may transfer us to an other galaxy or universe or dimension. These are the answers you need to know about black holes 1. How are black hole formed. Stellar black holes form when the center of a very massive star collapses in upon itself. This collapse also causes a supernova, or an exploding star, that blasts part of the star into space. 2.Can the sun turned into a black hole? The Sun will never turn into a black hole because it is not as massive in mass enough to explode. Instead, the Sun will become a dense stellar remnant called a white dwarf. If nothing can escape from a black hole, then won't the whole universe e...

After Albert Einstein died, and his brain was stolen by a scientist, see the discoveries made.

Even though Albert Einstein knew was greatly sick,he refused to go under the knife. A decision which could have saved and prolonged his life. He spent his last days in great pain and while at it,he made his wishes clear on how he wants his body to be treated after he must he must have passed on. He stated that he wants to be cremated Einstein eventually died on the 18th of April, 1955 at the age of 76 of a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurism. And as far as his bones were concerned,he got his wishes fulfilled. But shortly after his death during his autopsy,a pathologist named Thomas Harvey removed his brain. This is a brain that had produced the theory of relativity, the concept of the speed of light, the E=mc² and the idea that birthed the completion of the first atomic bomb. Einstein 13 months before his death. Harvey actually stole it because it was without the knowledge of the relevant regulatory bodies at first. He ran away with his brain to test it. After forty years of testing and ...
